AEDM Annual Training
AEDM Annual Training
Stay up to date with MOT regulations, compliance requirements, and your responsibilities as an Authorised Examiner or AEDM.This course is designed to help Authorised Examiners, AEDMs, and senior managers stay up to date with current MOT regulations, compliance requirements, and changes to the MOT scheme.
Over time, knowledge can drift — particularly for those focused on running busy operations rather than day-to-day testing activity. This creates risk within the MOT scheme and can lead to compliance failures if not addressed.
This course is written by current MOT managers and business owners, cutting through the noise and focusing on what actually needs to be done to stay compliant in a real working environment.
DVSA guidance makes it clear that those responsible for MOT operations must “keep up to date with changes and ensure staff understand what is relevant to their roles.” This course is designed to help you meet that expectation.
All MITA training is delivered in a clear, practical format, helping you stay in control of your systems, your staff, and your compliance position.
- Changes to the MOT scheme and what they mean in practice
- What DVSA enforcement teams are currently focusing on
- Responsibilities of an AE and AEDM
- How to maintain effective compliance systems
- Quality control, audits, and risk management
- Common areas of non-compliance and how to avoid them
This training takes approximately 3 hours to complete and is delivered as four 45-minute modules, but if you chose digital version you can dive in and out as time allows.
The course is primarily digital and includes video content and audible narration, allowing you to complete training in a way that suits your schedule — including listening while travelling.
This qualification can be completed online or through a MITA-approved training provider. Training is flexible - delivered through digital modules, including video content and guided narration, or in a classroom setting, either at your own pace or in structured sessions. Built-in micro-quizzes and defined learning outcomes provide clear evidence of training completion, helping businesses demonstrate compliance with DVSA requirements.
